Breakfast is served either in the breakfast room or on the terrace, a buffet with eggs, cold cuts, cereals and fresh fruit, and once a week the property organises a barbecue evening in the garden. Ich empfehle den Schneeburghof allen, denen der Blick ins Tal wichtiger ist als der aufs Dorf: Die Terrasse am Außenpool schaut ins Passeiertal statt auf die Gassen von Dorf Tirol. Mit nur zwölf Zimmern im alpinen Stil, alle mit Balkon, bleibt die Atmosphäre familiärer als in größeren Garnis der Umgebung. Ein Restaurant gibt es außer dem wöchentlichen Grillabend im Garten nicht: Das Angebot ist bewusst schlank gehalten.

Warum Gäste es liebenDer Blick ins Passeiertal von der Poolterrasse ist wirklich anders als bei den dorfseitigen Pools anderer Häuser in Dorf Tirol: Statt Dächern öffnet sich das Tal. Mit nur zwölf Zimmern wirkte der Schneeburghof eher wie eine kleine Pension als ein Hotel, ab dem zweiten Tag kannte man sich. Wir erwischten zufällig das wöchentliche Grillfest, eine schöne Überraschung, und die lange geöffnete Bar passte zu Abenden, die nicht früh enden mussten.
