Bernin sits down in the Grésivaudan valley, well below the tree line where the Les Sept Laux pistes actually start, and this guesthouse makes the most of that lower-altitude setting with a garden and an outdoor pool that a true mountain address couldn't offer in the same way. Le Comptoir de Tigmi is two minutes' walk away for an easy dinner out. Breakfast comes included rather than bolted on as a paid extra, which is rarer among the properties covered here. This works best as a staging point, a comfortable valley base the night before or after a ski day, rather than a stay built around walking straight onto the slopes each morning.

Pour qui veut une base plus calme en fond de vallée, avec jardin et piscine, et accepte de monter en voiture aux remontées des Sept Laux chaque jour. L'adresse fonctionne aussi très bien hors saison de ski, quand la piscine devient l'attrait principal et non un simple bonus. Si vous voulez réduire au minimum le trajet jusqu'aux pistes chaque matin, réservez plutôt à Prapoutel ou au Pipay.

Pourquoi les voyageurs adorentOn en a fait notre base pour une semaine d'allers-retours vers Les Sept Laux, et le jardin donnait vraiment l'impression d'une pause en redescendant chaque soir, pas juste d'un endroit où dormir. Le petit-déjeuner inclus, et non en supplément comme ailleurs, a compté plus qu'on ne le pensait sur une semaine entière. La piscine a servi plus que prévu, surtout parce qu'après la route aller-retour, tout le monde avait juste envie de ne plus bouger.
