Our take
Carlina is a three-star in La Clusaz, 400 metres from the ski lifts, with panoramic mountain views and an indoor swimming pool as its main assets. The spa and wellness centre with hot tub, sauna and steam bath comes at an extra charge, which is worth knowing before booking. I would choose it for families who want a pool after skiing and do not mind a short walk to the lifts. An 8.4 from 416 guests is a good, steady score.
- Consider booking a room with a south-facing balcony for the best mountain views and sun.
- Take advantage of the free indoor swimming pool to unwind after a day on the slopes.
- If you enjoy spa treatments, factor in the supplement for access to the hot tub, sauna, and steam bath.
Why we love it
- Panoramic mountain views
- Large indoor swimming pool
- Close proximity to ski lifts
- Spa & wellness facilities available
Why guests love itThe ski lifts are about 400 metres away, an easy walk even with kids, and the panoramic mountain views from the hotel set the scene every morning. The indoor swimming pool was the children's favourite after skiing. The spa and wellness centre, with hot tub, sauna and steam bath, costs a supplement, but we found it worth it for a couple of evenings. Free WiFi was handy, and the overall feel was relaxed and friendly.
