A fondue delivery service sits a five-minute walk away, which says something about the neighborhood's priorities in winter. This suits travelers cross-shopping the Belledonne's smaller resorts who don't mind that Cap 2000, not Les Sept Laux, is the lift base within reach. The sauna and casual restaurant make it a comfortable stop after a day out. Anyone set on skiing directly from Les Sept Laux's own lifts should book a Prapoutel or Pipay address instead, since the walk from here goes to a different mountain.

Why guests love itWe booked Auberge du Virage without realizing at first that Cap 2000 and Les Sept Laux are two different lift bases in the same mountain range, which meant a bit of a rethink on skiing days. Once we adjusted, the wood-paneled rooms and the sauna made for a genuinely cozy stay, and the fondue delivery down the road solved dinner more than once. Bringing the dog without any fuss at check-in was a real plus.
