Everest is a chalet-style three-star in Val d'Isère, 150 metres from the slopes and lifts, which keeps the morning walk in ski boots short. The ski room with boot heaters is a practical detail, and the spa area and bar take over after skiing. Many rooms have a balcony with mountain or village views. I would book it for skiers who want a good location in an expensive resort without paying for five-star extras. An 8.7 from 202 guests is very good.

Why guests love itEverest Hotel is about 150 metres from the slopes and lifts, so we could ski back for lunch without fuss. The boot heaters in the ski storage room were a game changer: warm boots every morning for all of us. Our chalet-style room had a balcony with a mountain view. After skiing we relaxed in the spa and wellness area, then met friends for a drink at the bar. Comfortable, practical and well placed in Val d'Isère.
