Auberge La Douce Montagne - Hotel Restaurant Bar
A traditional inn for a longer, thriftier stay
Su questo hotel
This is the kind of roadside auberge that has been feeding travelers longer than most nearby hotels have existed, and it still runs on that logic: simple rooms, a shared bungalow and a chalet annex for larger groups, and a restaurant and bar doing most of the social work. Plan Barbier sits two minutes' walk away, and the pool gives the afternoons somewhere to go once the day's outing wraps up. Rooms lean informal rather than styled, which keeps the nightly rate down across a week-long booking. The full-service laundry matters more here than at most hotels on this page, since a longer, budget-minded stay tends to mean packing lighter and washing more.

- Ask about the bungalow or chalet annex if traveling as a group, they cost less per head than separate rooms
- Use the laundry service midweek rather than waiting until checkout, it saves packing damp gear
- Book the restaurant's fixed menu on arrival night, it's the easiest way to eat without planning
