Our take
Starry Residence Suite offers modern ski-in/ski-out apartments in Hakuba, a minute's walk from Hakuba Happo-One, so you can be on the snow almost straight away. Each unit has a kitchen and mountain views, which suits families who want to cook their own meals, and it is pet-friendly too. I would book it for families or groups who want independence close to the slopes. A 9.2 from 32 guests is excellent, on a small sample.
- Take advantage of the ski-in/ski-out access; it saves valuable time each morning
- Utilize the kitchen in your unit to prepare meals, especially after a long day on the slopes
- Bring your pet along, as this hotel is genuinely welcoming to furry companions

Why guests love itStarry Residence Suite is the Hakuba address I recommend for skiers who want the Happo-One slopes on the doorstep: the resort is about a minute's walk away. The apartments are modern and polished, with mountain views and a kitchen in each unit, which helps on longer stays. It welcomes both children and pets, which is rarer than it should be in ski accommodation. A 9.2 score from 32 reviews is a strong start, though based on a smaller sample than older addresses.
