Vaujany is its own resort, linked into the Alpe d'Huez ski domain rather than into Les Sept Laux, so booking here means choosing a different mountain within the same broader Belledonne and Grandes Rousses region. What it offers in return is a level of polish that the smaller Les Sept Laux village hotels don't really compete with: an indoor pool and hot tub for year-round use, a proper spa, and an airport shuttle that removes one of the more tedious parts of an Alps trip. The tourist office sits a minute away by taxi, which says something about how central the hotel sits within Vaujany itself. Dogs are welcome, and the accessible, smoke-free rooms round out a genuinely comfortable stay.

Ons oordeel
Voor wie een viersterren spahotel zoekt en het geen probleem vindt in Vaujany te logeren in plaats van in Les Sept Laux: het zijn twee aparte skioorden in dezelfde regio. Het binnenzwembad en de luchthavenshuttle bieden echt gemak. Draait je reis volledig om de liften van Les Sept Laux, zie dit dan als een ander skioord en niet als alternatieve uitvalsbasis voor dezelfde pistes.

Waarom gasten het geweldig vindenWe boekten Le V de Vaujany in de veronderstelling dat we in Les Sept Laux zaten, en pas bij aankomst begrepen we dat Vaujany een ander skigebied in dezelfde regio is, wat onze skiplannen wat veranderde. Daarna zorgden het binnenzwembad en de spa voor een echt ontspannen week, en de luchthavenshuttle bespaarde ons een huurauto die we nauwelijks hadden gebruikt. Een echt viersterrenhotel, alleen in het buurdal.
