Hotel Aurora reopens in summer 2026 after a full renovation of this family-run address on Merano's historic Passer Promenade, with the first phase covering eighteen of the fifty-nine guestrooms and every guest-facing space across four floors, designed by AD100-listed Hannes Peer Architecture. The renovation adds a Listening Bar, restaurant, terrace and new lobby alongside a redesigned architectural facade. Aurora sits directly opposite Merano's thermal baths on the riverfront, in the heart of the spa town, with guestrooms including air-conditioning, a minibar and a private bathroom with hairdryer. A round-trip shuttle to nearby airports, including Bolzano, Verona, Bergamo, Milan, Venice, Treviso, Innsbruck and Munich, can be arranged for a fee, and the old town's arcades, cafés and boutiques sit within walking distance along the Passer River.
