Edelweiss sits in the centre of Resia, close enough that the souvenir and jewellery shops downstairs double as a reason to linger before dinner. Rooms use light wood furniture and are reached by lift, a small detail that matters after a day standing in ski boots. The restaurant sticks to South Tyrol cooking, canederli dumplings and local meat dishes served for both lunch and dinner, with a buffet breakfast of cereals, yoghurt, eggs and cheese to start the day. In the evening the candlelit pool and the Finnish and infrared saunas take over, and in winter the hotel runs disco nights that carry the energy past dinner. Lake Resia's shore is a ten-minute walk from the hotel.
