Our take
Matterhorn FOCUS is my choice in Zermatt for travellers who want contemporary design and the Matterhorn in the window. Rooms and suites were designed by Heinz Julen, most of them face the mountain, and the spa with indoor and outdoor hot tubs is the place to end the day. The breakfast buffet is a generous start. A 9.4 from 420 guests confirms the standard. Those who prefer a traditional wooden chalet look should pick another Zermatt address.
- Book a room with a Matterhorn view to fully appreciate the hotel's unique selling point
- Spend time in the luxurious spa area, especially the indoor and outdoor hot tubs
- Enjoy breakfast on the terrace for an unforgettable start to your day with mountain views

Why guests love itMatterhorn FOCUS is a design hotel with rooms by Heinz Julen, and most of them, ours included, look straight at the Matterhorn. Waking up to that view was the highlight of our trip. The rich breakfast buffet set us up for skiing, and the Nespresso machine in the room was a parent's best friend. The luxurious spa with indoor and outdoor hot tubs was where the whole family ended each day, steaming under the stars.
