Why guests love itThe Phoenix is in Zermatt's peaceful Wiesti quarter, about ten minutes on foot from the station and Bahnhofstrasse, so we had calm nights but could still stroll into town. The extra sound insulation meant our light sleepers finally rested well. The design mixes local wood, stone and glass, rustic but modern. The rich buffet breakfast set us up for the slopes, and the flat-screen TV and safe were handy touches.
