Hotel des Lacs is a two-star in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc with a family atmosphere, recently renovated rooms (some with mountain views), ski storage and easy access to the slopes. The sunny terrace faces Mont Blanc and a bar is there for the evening. I would book it for a budget-minded family that wants a small, relaxed hotel. An 8.6 from 366 guests is good.

Why guests love itHotel des Lacs has a real family feel, and the staff made us feel at home from day one. Our recently renovated room was comfortable, with a view of the mountains, and the ski storage kept the gear out of the way. Getting to the slopes was easy, and our favourite moment each afternoon was the sunny terrace facing Mont Blanc, with hot chocolate for the kids and a drink from the bar for us. Simple, warm and good value.
