It sits right at the steamboat landing stage, so we hopped on boats for lake trips. Every room has panoramic views of the lake and the mountains of the Jungfrau region, and ours was stunning at sunset. Free WiFi and free on-site parking made it all effortless. A true reset.

Why guests love itSitting directly above Lake Brienz, this hotel had superb views from our room and the lakeside terrace, where we lingered over drinks while the kids watched the boats. Interlaken is just a 5-minute drive, and the Visitors Card gave us free public transport, which made day trips with children easy and cheap. Free WiFi throughout and a bar with snacks covered the basics. Peaceful and beautifully placed.
